who is dr jo braid?

The short version: I am a burnout coach and medical specialist of 10 years. I’ve been through burnout in my medical career, and combine my skillset to help high achievers get out of overwhelm and get their energy back. I provide tailored 1:1 coaching sessions over Zoom for clients who are ready to make changes and live the life they have worked hard for.

But more than that – I’m a mum to 3 gorgeous boys, wife to my amazing husband, and live in the beautiful regional town of Orange, NSW, Australia. I love a hit of tennis and play violin in a string quartet, The Moderatos.

let's start at the beginning

Jo finished medical school at the University of Nottingham in 2002 and moved to Australia in 2003. She graduated as a Fellow in Rehabilitation Medicine in 2009 and worked as a specialist in Sydney until 2013. In 2014 she moved with her family to Orange and loved the pace of life, clean air and opportunities for her family and herself.

In 2020 Jo started a life coaching program and was so taken with the result from the program, that she decided to train as a life coach herself. In October 2021 she was fully certified by The Life Coach School, graduating with clarity of direction in her career – as a burnout coach for doctors. She continues to work as a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Physician.

Jo has worked with a range of healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, who have brought a range of topics to coaching including:
